X1 carb type ,considering changing /Pistons and heads to gas flow for more grunt ,possibly stage two.Whats the best advice on what to buy also the price range on options.Any help appreciated.

You could fit XB heads, along with rocker covers - (giving better crankcase breathing) but it's poor value £/hp. Fitting a AST shock will allow much better use of your existing motor.
Imho, chassis tuning always gives better results than tuning your motor
