my m2 cyclone decided to vibe loose exhaust stud and nut on way home at night had no tools so hoped to make it back without losing stud can anyone tell me what size and thread it is

5/16 UNC head side, 5/16 UNF nut side. Did you lose the stud or just the nut? The stock stud has a larger root diameter than the UNC spec to give some self locking. The use of K or AS nuts will give some self locking...
