99 plate with a rebuilt (from sump plug upwards) motor in 2007 - 6000 odd miles Taxed & tested until Nov 12, a shed load of paper work and receipts with both keys and serviced last November by Dave Scott.

It's a lovely bike in excellent condition that's had a LOT of hours of work put into it by Maz who built it in 2007 (round £4k of work spent on it) with his usual attention to detail. Colin owned it previous to me and it sat in his garage doing nowt for a long spell in Switzerland. I bought it from him when it came back into the country in September 2011.

I have owned it almost 6 months after selling my STT and its been ridden with a lot of mechanical sympathy, never raced or seen anything like its rev limiter, probably been 80 on it once or twice :oooops:

I had hoped I would gel with it but I don't feel at home on it and after a long back injury I need something taller and more upright to ride (ironically .. like an STT lOl ) I'm finding this bike aggravates my disks and I'm just not enjoying the ride. After the previous bike I had I cant get used to this one.

This really is a very nice example of an M2 conversion, probably one of the best in the country and I'm in no rush to sell it. If it doesn't sell then I will struggle on with it for a while or put it on Ebay.

Pictures at the bottom shows the bike with the old seat and WP forks, and with the new reworked seat, I can take more if needs be.

Offers around £4800 considered (the parts alone are worth almost that) in order to finance a new bike :)

Why not keep, what is an outstanding bike, and simply do Pilates exercises to strengthen your core muscles around the spine - ie: keep the M1 and change your body :yup:

Shoot me down in flames for this, but I fully support Ash's decision. Life's too short to ride a bike for other people's pleasure. Ash has the most magnificent example of a tuber there, has tried his damnedest to gel with it, had a beautiful job done on the seat in an attempt to cure the back issue, but it just doesn't work for him.

We all ride for pleasure, so please don't deny Ash the pleasure of riding.

Most importantly, let's keep this magnificent beast in the UK. This will make a superb ride for one of us. My life is too complicated this year (and my garage too full) to buy it, but if you're even thinking of a tuber, just get it bought, and please let Ash return to enjoying his riding. :yup:

You could spend £6k and gold plate the frame but that wouldn't make it worth £10.8k

Gold plating the frame would actually de-value the bike

I take it you think the asking price is too much ?

It's a customised M2, search for 'Streetfighter' and see how much their worth to see if spending money on something increases it's value by 50%. You may get some interest from a niche market like this website but I think you'll be disappointed if you eBay it.
Hope you get what you want and that includes a bike you're happy with.

Quite a difference between a completely rebuilt Buell and a bandit that's been chucked down the road then modded into a 'streetfighter' dont get me wrong, I take your point and as I mentioned I am open to a sensible offer :)

Out of interest can you point me in the direction of as nice an example for less money than I am offering this one at .. ? :)
