Solid Yew Lintels suitable for inglenook fireplace, 10yrs seasoned indoors, very close grained and mega strong, so could be used structurally or decoratively.
It is a trunk cut in half longitudinally so there are two of them. The bark is stripped and the cut face is polished, oiled and waxed to a fine finish that shows the beautiful grain, pine coloured sap wood and deep rub chesnut heartwood.
I have carved one with celtic knot patterns the other can be left natural or carved to order.
These are serious pieces of wood, and very rare so not cheap.
Carved £450 plain £370 if sold here 10% will go to club funds (plain oak same size on E bay £250+)
Pictures to come and will be on Ebay.
