Not sure if the Xb's do the same but that is a common fault on tubers due to slightly rounded dogs on the gears slipping before they fully engage ............................My X1 as done it for about the last 35K miles lOl

Does it only happen when engaging the clutch or if you crack the throttle when the engine is chugging in first at low revs?

So, if you do it without touching the clutch?

Have you checked the belt for missing teeth?

Is this the bargain belt?

I can see where Pash is coming from, I had a similar thing, turned out to be the primary chain needed adjusting :P

I don't have this problem on mine and I have not tightened the spring on my tensioner, however when feeding the clutch in it does feel like there is some jump, but it is the clutch dragging, hence the question which you have not really answered.

As for your belt, could it be stretching more than a standard belt and hence very loose as the belt feeds into the sprocket? Did this happen with your original belt? Changes in system behavior are normally related to something that has recently changed...

Did it happen with the old belt?
