Good line but I reckon that was the only way that the X1 didn't improve on the S1......... until you put a rider on it at least.

Don't understand that. I thought they were registered as S1's to avoid reapplying for european type approval. So it doesn't make sense that there should be any X1's registered at all.

Possibly corrected with DVLA on an individual basis by owners who didn't want to be sullied with this reputation; "The S1 Lightning which the X1 superceded was visually rank" (not my words) ;)

Perhaps, or may be individual imports, there's a few of those about too.

When I registered my X1, which I bought in LV, the V5 came through as an S1, fuel type was heavy oil :shock: .......the V5 now reads X1, petrol lOl
