FFS,just spent a fair while writing a reply to a post,only to find out I'd been timed out!
All my writing gone and it does'nt flow easily from brainbox to fingertips so I'm pretty pissed off......deep breath.....what can I do in future?

When my son got time out, he had to go sit on the naughty carpet.

If writing a long winded article best to do it on your pc in word and then copy and paste onto here

Pooter settings? If you set your email program to check for mail every 5 minutes, that will show a more or less constant (enough) activity so your session should not "time out."

Maybe if you occasionally click on "preview" while writing a long post, it will remind the forum that you're still there so it won't end your session...? (Although might be an idea to highlight and cut/copy what you've written first in case it goes wrong )
