We now have the dates for the Ducati Club Nederland Races @ Assen, they're Friday to Sunday, 24th to 26th May - Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

This is a brilliant event featuring mostly European and American (Buell :P) V-twin motorcycles at one of Europe's top circuits.

Run along similar lines to the UK CRMC race weekends, it's access all areas for spectators and the paddock/pit area has a superb atmosphere.

We still have to confirm our travel plans but provisionally we're thinking about Hull to Rotterdam on Thursday night 23rd May, returning via Eurotunnel, Calais to Folkestone on Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th May.

Provisional event details taken from the (translated) announcement on the Ducati Club Netherlands web site: http://www.ducaticlub.nl

The Ducati Club Race in 2013 is held on 24, 25 and 26 May. That's two weeks later in the season than last year. Great opportunity so on the same beautiful weather as last year and no agenda conflict more with mother's day. Registration opens on Monday 4 March 2013. Write these dates in your calendar.

Other news is that we also have a type 2 for the Friday day can get which we may make more sound. On all three days is now 104 dB noise limit what in most cases means that you can drive with open exhausts. No hassles with other standards and dB killers for the Friday. Carefree drive and you let ROAR!!

Finally news on classification. Of course we keep the Ducati classes and classes for classics. By popular request we have also given their own place in the program again Thunderbikes. Thunderbikes are engines with 1, 2 or 3 cylinders from Europe and the United States. In the wake of last year is also again in 2013 opportunity for ' first timers ' to, in the so-called Demo, a number of rounds on the TT-circuit to drive (grab this chance!). The following classes have we finally on the program. We are still in discussion with other classes.

Update: this morning we tried to book accommodation at the Vakantiepark Witterzomer near Assen but it's fully booked for that particular weekend. We've found a B&B in Beilen, a small village 6 miles south of Assen. The B&B's web site is: http://www.cycle-walkabout.nl

Unfortunately I'm not gonna make it this year. My mum's going to celebrate her birthday on May, 25th.
Sorry for that, would have liked to meet you all there.
