i posted a comment that i found an article helpfull and it was deleted, so the save the mods work why not lock the how to section.

It's a reference section, so spam will be deleted without warning, as will any bum info.

The idea (I think) is to keep it bare so that anyone looking for info doesn't have to wade through a dozen pages of "Your patio needs weeding" type stuff to get the information required.
If you have comments (good or bad) or additional info, then according to the guidelines at the top of the page, start a thread in the Tech section along the lines of "Re. Crank seal replacement" or such like.

you could have the section where people submit stuff pending the mods approval, er maybe!..

Why create work for the moderators? It's very easy to delete a post, "moderating" a board takes some effort. Educating peeps not to put shite in there in the first place is (long term) the easiest of all.

Besides, we had exactly that in the last forum and not once was it used in 2 years.

Wasn't going to switch it on, loads more work for everyone, and you will get people bitching and whining if after 5 minutes there post doesn't appear because we haven't approved it the very instant it appears in the Mods approval queue
