Wow. The ebay auction is for almost as long as you've owned the bike. :(

Have you had anything wrong with your bike? You've only had it a fortnight. Sorry that you got put off by a few scare stories, rather than contemplating the many members who don't post much, simply because their bikes don't have problems.

Yep don't let the bad stories put you off................mines done over 45K now and ok it had a problem at about 25K when a piece broke off a valve spring but that is the only major problem it's had in 81/2 years.
I have no plans to ever get rid has it's such a fantastic bike for either quick local scrathes or long distance touring and i'm sure its got a lot more years left in it yet.....in fact i think it's just about run in now ;)
Was talking to a BMW owner the other day who was planning on getting a ully next year and he was saying some of the BMW's are now the most unreliable bikes on the market when he was pcked up by the recovery the guy told him that he picks up more BMW's than any other brand.

So sorry every one but it's gotta go . i no longer have any faith in it at all, i know that every time i ride it i feel like i'm riding a hand grenade with a loose pin.
Thats not because its a noisey motor far from it it's as quiet as they come, so im probably going to loose a few bob it stands me at £3700 that includes every thing its cost me, a bit grim for 11 weeks and 1500 miles.
When it's good it is realy good,
But when it's bad just F.R.O.

it's still got some garantee left on the gear box too.
A new Norton 965 looks well £1600 deposit 2 years for delivery.
Is that taking the piss or what.
Arge

init nice though look on Ebay.

It's a shame, but they're not for everyone, never were. Good luck finding something that floats your boat.

Arge here hello everyone,
I went out on saturday and got a front wheel puncture.
I REFUSE TO BE BEATEN BY A FUCKING MOTOBIKE,
So just orderd a new front tyre for tommorow
The Law of avreges says that i cant keep having total bad luck every time i go out on my X1, At least i didnt drop it when the front tyre went down, see that must be a change of luck already.
Lucky Arge.

ps
This is my first attempt at beeing 100% positive with this bike, let's see if it makes any differance.

Hello all Arge here
Just had a new tyre fitted on my X1
I told you about the Law of avreges. So the reason my tyre went flat was,You know the valve stem about 1.5 inch long, well on the inside of youre wheel where the fat rubber ring seals against youre wheel. The ring can only be fitted from one end and cant come off the other end due to a Lip, this also stop youre valve stem from exiting youre wheel from inside to outside. Well my lip or flange had broke off,So why didnt my valve stem shoot out with a force of 36lb ish. Well im reyt glad it didn't, thank fuck.
It must be all them non negative waves,
Onwards and upwards positivley.
Arge.
